22 warnings issued over antenna installations

Abu Dhabi: A total of 22 warnings have been issued to residents and building owners who had haphazardly installed satellite dish antennas on buildings across the capital, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality said in a statement sent on Tuesday.

The violations were discovered recently during municipal inspections and awareness campaigns. Inspectors ordered the violators to remove all antennas that did not meet the installation standards.

According to municipal regulations, up to four satellite dish antennas can be installed on building rooftops. Antennas are not allowed to be installed on buildings, rooftops or garden walls and hanging cables are not allowed on building facades.
