Abu Dhabi Fund for Development delegation marks Flag Day at Founder’s Memorial

ABU DHABI, 1st November, 2018 (WAM) — In celebration of the UAE Flag Day, a delegation from Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, ADFD, today visited the Founder’s Memorial in Abu Dhabi.

In addition, ADFD employees gathered around the flagpole in front of the Fund’s premises, where Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of ADFD, raised the UAE flag to the accompaniment of the national anthem.

Speaking on the occasion, Al Suwaidi expressed his gratitude to the country’s wise leadership led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

Al Suwaidi commented, “We have gathered here today in this very special place to celebrate Flag Day and remember the wisdom and noble achievements of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose legacy and stewardship are continued to this day by our nation’s leadership.”
