Abu Dhabi Police launches ‘Year of Zayed Award’

ABU DHABI, 6th May, 2018 (WAM) — Abu Dhabi Police launched today the, “Year of Zayed Award” in recognition of the legacy and values of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father.

Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, said that the internal award is aimed at reviving the legacy, inspirational values and achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed that placed him as an international leader and a beacon for future generations.

“We also want to highlight Sheikh Zayed’s commitment to spreading the message of peace and tolerance worldwide,”Al Rumaithi added.

As per the award system, the different police departments will compete through organising a number of initiatives and activities to cover four main domains, culture and knowledge, environment and sustainability, giving and humanity and social development.

These activities will focus on the values of ‘Wisdom, Sustainability, Respect and Human Building’.
