Accounting Manager – Saudi Arabia


·        Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager

·        Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

Job Purpose

The position is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial guidance and analytics to all levels of management to inform key decision-making in pursuit of the company’s financial and operational objectives. They are responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities


Detailed Job Profile and Responsibilities

Daily Operations


·        Managing Accounts Receivables & Payables and all other accounts

·        Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department

·        Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including; month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, budgeting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations

·        Develop and prepare month-end performance presentation, understand detailed data and create a cohesive story based on key performance drivers to communicate to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders

·        Preparation of daily accounting entries and final accounts

·        Supervise the preparation of the general ledger

·        Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.

·        Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.

·        Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports

Financial and Planning Analysis

·        Preparing budgets, pro forma financial statements and forecasts, and the closing financial statements of each period

·        Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

·        Assist CFO in the development of annual budgets, monthly forecasts and month-end reporting of actual results, including variance analysis to forecast and budget

·        Guiding commercial director on project level financials to create accurate forecasts

·        Provide business/financial analysis and decision support that allows management to evaluate alternatives, make fact-based decisions, and evaluate the consequences of decisions

·        Build business partner relationships across the organization and be seen as a business partner to collaboratively solve problems and remove obstacles to enable achievement of goals

·        Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making

·        Establish a more comprehensive forecasting and budgeting process by collaborating with departmental directors and commercial director and standardizing monthly financial reviews

·        Drive efficiencies in all FP&A key processes and forecast accuracy improvement

·        Prepare other ad hoc executive-level analysis, research, modeling and reports for presentation to senior decision-makers within the company

Regulatory Compliance

·        Managing the Company’s VAT and Zakat file with the tax authority

·        Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles

·        Coordinate and complete annual audits

·        Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

·        Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

Record Keeping

·        Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

·        Maintain accurate historical job cost records
