The intensive capacity building programme is designed to nurture the local creative community with the aim of having student Academy Award nominations in the Short Film category by 2020, as well as establishing industry connections and showcasing the best of the regional creative scene through dedicated film screenings.
The inaugural master class was hosted under the guidance of award-winning producer and director, Daniele J. Suissa, enabling young directors, screenwriters, producers and technical specialists to gain hands-on industry insights and develop creative skills across the disciplines of screenwriting, direction and production. The sessions also explored key concepts in script development and laying the foundations of various crafts within filmmaking, in addition to inviting participants for hands-on production and post-production of actual films.
