Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, stated that the Emirates Association for Franchise Development, FAD, plays a key role in encouraging businessmen and investors to engage in economic activities, including launch of SMEs, in line with the UAE’s strategy and the UAE Vision 2021, through offering advice and administrative services and connecting them to international franchising networks, as well as developing their relations with international companies.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar made this statement today while receiving, in his office at the Ruler’s Court, an FAD delegation, headed by Mohammed Helal Al Muhairi, Chairman of FAD, including several FAD board members.

During the meeting, Sheikh Ammar was briefed by the delegation about FAD’s goals, tasks, operational plans and missions, which aim to promote cooperation among its members, encourage franchising, and spread awareness about its importance in supporting the development of SMEs, which will provide opportunities for investors, especially Emirati investors.

Al Muhairi and his delegation highlighted the FAD’s working strategy, as well as its services for entrepreneurs in the franchising sector, and its support for Emirati youth and its efforts to empower them economically, through preparing and qualifying them scientifically and practically, according to the best international standards.

FAD aims to establish the culture of entrepreneurship and encourage Emirati youth to establish their own projects, as well as to support Emirati entrepreneurs in the areas of research, innovation and creativity, Al Muhairi said in conclusion.

With a vision to be pioneering in nurturing, supporting and diversifying the areas of franchising activities in the UAE, FAD seeks to streamline entrepreneurship in the UAE, to cement close ties with the world’s franchise associations and frameworks, to provide support, services and assistance for entrepreneurs for purposes of expanding and diversifying the franchising base in order to span all sectors in the UAE, to set up a favourable climate for achieving effectiveness and efficiency in all that which is related to franchising and protecting the rights, as well as to raise awareness of franchise’s role in developing the national economy. FAD also seeks to enhance the UAE’s strategic and economic trends in terms of expanding the private sector’s contribution to sustainable development. This would deepen and add to continuous successes of our economy and its robust presence on the world’s economic map.
