AJMAN, 22nd October, 2018 (WAM) — Ajman University, City University College Ajman and Gulf Medical University recently participated in the ‘China Education Expo’ in Beijing, China.

In cooperation with the Ajman Chamber of Commerce, the participation sought to introduce the educational sector in Ajman, promote the emirate’s colleges and universities internationally, as well as exploring opportunities for academic cooperation with new markets of higher education.

Commenting on Ajman’s universities participation, Nasser Al Dhafri, Executive Director for Planning and Support Division at Ajman Chamber and head of the delegation, emphasised the chamber’s commitment to support the private education in Ajman, which is embodied in participation in various education exhibitions around the world.

“This contributes to opening new markets for the emirate’s colleges and attracting students to them, in addition to increasing the cooperation with the pioneering higher educational institutions worldwide. It further helps to learn about the latest tools and programmes that enable the emirate’s universities to continue their development,” he added.

“This participation acquires special importance thanks to the strong relations between the UAE and China in all sectors, since many institutions operating in the UAE have adopted the Chinese language in the completion of many transactions, which promises a fruitful cooperation between the institutions of higher education in Ajman and China in terms of the possibility of opening branches of the universities in both parties and sharing experiences them,” Al Dhafri added.

Al Dhafri re-affirmed the keenness of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, on the sustainability and development of the education sector in the emirate, which is reflected in the international presence of Ajman’s universities in several exhibitions, including Bahrain International Exhibition for Training and Education and World’s Top Boarding Schools Fair in Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria.

The exhibition hosts more than 642 educational institutions representing more than 40 countries around the world.
