ABU DHABI, 9th February, 2019 (WAM) — The Al Maktoum Foundation has donated AED175,000 in support of the Future Rehabilitation Centre in Abu Dhabi.
Mirza Al Sayegh, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Al Maktoum Foundation, presented a cheque for the amount to Mowfaq Mustafa, Director of the Centre, during a recent visit to the centre, where he was briefed about its services and learning programmes Mustafa thanked H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, patron of the foundation, for the donation which he said would enable the centre to improve its care services and activities provided to the people of determination.
Al Sayegh affirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting humanitarian and charitable institutions in the UAE.
The centre’s student population has continually grown and currently caters to an average of 200 young multinational students with disabilities and varying levels of severity, ranging from mild/moderate to severe.
The centre provides special education and therapy-based programmes to address the unique needs of its students through individualised education plans.
