AMMAN, 2nd March, 2019 (WAM) — Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC, arrived today in Amman, Jordan, leading the FNC delegation to the 29th Conference of the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union, AIPU, to be held here on March 3-4.

The conference will be conducted under the theme, “Jerusalem is the Eternal Capital of the State of Palestine”.

Upon arrival, Dr. Al Qubaisi and her accompanying delegation were received by the Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives, Atef Tarawneh.

Dr. Qubaisi stressed the importance of the AIPU meeting, as its focus is related to the Palestinian issue. The FNC Speaker added that the UAE, since its establishment, has been one of the first supporters of the joint Arab action and in defence of its issues, pointing to the directives of the UAE leadership, which stress the importance of harnessing all capabilities of the country for the benefit of the Arab and Muslim nations.

She noted, “The FNC, as part of its parliamentary strategy 2016-2021, is keen on enhancing parliamentary relations to back and activate the journey of our common Arab work.”
