RAS AL-KHAIMAH, 1st April, 2018 (WAM) — The Aman Centre for Women and Children in Ras al-Khaimah launched an awareness campaign, entitled, ‘Protect My Innocence’, which aims to promote children’s rights within the community.
The campaign is being carried out in cooperation with the local police, the Social Support Centre, the Ras al-Khaimah Parents Council, the Social Development Council branches in Ras al-Khaimah and Jilfar, the Ibrahim bin Hamad Abdullah Hospital, Ras al-Khaimah Mall, Riyadah Elementary School, the Ras al-Khaimah Girls Club and Al Ghadeer Nursery.
Khadija Al Ajil, Director-General of the Centre, said that the campaign aims to help eliminate all forms of abuse against children and strengthen the efforts to serve this initiative, in a bid to create a stable and secure community.
She added that the campaign also aims to promote children’s rights and raise the community’s awareness about children, as well as to educate children about their rights and their true role in advancing the community. She noted the considerable efforts of participating bodies to achieve the campaign’s goal of raising the awareness of children about their rights and highlighting the penalties for violating these rights.
