The aircraft landed safely and no harm was done to the pilot, flight or any other person travelling on the busy road.
The action was captured by a dash cam fitted in Chris Young’s car who was driving on the busy road.
Local media reports quoted Young as saying that he was driving to work when he noticed a plane on top of his sunroof.
He said he tried stopping the traffic as he knew that the pilot was going to land there itself.
The dash cam footage also shows a cyclist trying to stop the traffic from getting in a way. The cyclist went to check on the pilot while Young went called 911 for help.
According to police, the pilot had to land because there was a shortage of fuel in the aircraft due to which the pilot was unable to land in the airport, which was five miles away.
