CIVIL ENGINEER – FMM / Ferrovial – Qatar

-Plan and manage a demanding preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work schedule.
-Supervise and coordinate technical staff working by shifts (covering 24 hours / 7 days per week).
-Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults.
-Ensure all works are carried out safely and in a timely manner in accordance with service level agreement requirements to meet relevant KPIs.
-Liaise with customers and operations and create and develop a relationship with the client. Act as an authority on civil engineering matters and provide advice to the client team where required.
-Manage stocks of supplies, tools and equipment.
-Understand design specifications and technical drawings.
-Generate specifications for spare parts.
-Create maintenance procedures.
-Monitor and control maintenance costs.
-Control the efficiency of the processes.
-Understand and update technical drawings.
-Have full working knowledge of the areas in the building which are covered by the services run by FMM.
-Design and supervise non regular tasks.
-Plan staff rotations to ensure full coverage in all shifts and supervise staff hours worked, sickness and annual leave for producing a proper payroll.
-Ensure a high standard of staff´s personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations.
-Provide feedback and reporting to line manager
-Perform HSE inspections and provide input to accident and incident investigations
-Collaborate with HSEQ Department to provide response to client’s request for information, inspections, audits, etc.
-Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards.
-Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH. Ensure the staff reporting to him/her plus subcontractors are following the necessary procedures and safety practices.
-Follow Permit to Work system(FMM and client) and ensure the staff under him/her understand and follow the process.
