Dh2m up for grabs at Government Games

Dubai: In a first of its kind inter-department event, members of government entities from across the country will test their physical and mental strength, for a grand prize of Dh2 million.

More than 50 teams from various federal and local government departments are expected to take part in Government Games.

The event, to be held from April 26 to 28, was launched by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on Sunday.

Open to all government departments, the event is designed to promote team spirit; each group comprises five members and two substitutes.

Winners of both male and memale segments of the games will walk away with Dh1 million each.
