Dubai-based DP World to build free zone in Senegal

Ports operator DP World will build and develop a logistics free zone in Senegal, the company said on Saturday.

Ahmed bin Sulayem, chairman of DP World and chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, signed a memorandum of understanding at an event in Dakar for the project located in the vicinity of the new airport, close to its terminal in the outskirts of Senegalese capital.

The deal was sealed in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the foreign minister.
