Dubai CP attends Gov Games’ orientation day

DUBAI, 8th April, 2018 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, this morning attended the Gov Games’ orientation at Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, where participants were united to receive an exciting briefing about the rules and regulations of the world’s first Gov Games of which they will all be a part of and will take place from 9th to 12th May at Kite Beach in Dubai.

Across the two-hour event, participants were able to meet their other team mates and also wider games participants from all other government entities. In total, 145 teams will compete in the Gov Games; 82 men’s teams and 63 women’s teams from across 86 government entities.

Director of Gov Games, Marwan bin Essa, said, “This is a world-first and a truly unique experience created with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council. Today at our special orientation event, we were able to communicate the details of the games to all participants and reiterate the key messages of team work and team spirit, excellent communication, dedication and determination.”

Assistant Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Nasser Al Rahma, said,”Today we were able to see first-hand just how much passion and excitement already exists for this initiative of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed. Uniting a diverse collection of entities from all areas of government from federal to government entities from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Sharjah and Ras al-Khaimah, the Dubai Sports Council is proud to be a part of this initiative and we look forward to seeing all
