Hundreds of commuters stranded on Dubai Metro Red line during early morning rush hour
The Dubai Metro trains on the red line encounter delays during early morning rush hour.
Dubai: Several UAE commuters came late to work on Tuesday after the Dubai Metro trains encountered delays during the morning rush hour.
Passengers reported that the red line of Dubai’s main transportation link, which runs between Rashidiya and UAE Exchange, stopped working at past 8am. There were delays encountered at several stations, including Burjuman, Noor Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank, forcing the unloading of passengers at various stops.

One of the passengers, Edith, told Gulf News that the train she was on bogged down three times between Business Bay Metro Station and Mall of the Emirates.
“I took the train from Union Metro Station, but when we were past Business Bay, the train stopped. The services were again interrupted twice, just before reaching MOE. The delay lasted for 25 to 28 minutes,” she said.
“Metro stuck at Bujuman red line,” another commuter, Amit Oza, posted on Twitter.
