Dubai: If you’re planning to head outdoors this weekend, take precaution as clouds of dust and sand is expected to blow across the UAE.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow across internal and mountain areas, which will kick up to speeds of 55km/h at times.
The strong winds will pick up dust and sand over exposed areas, and by Thursday morning, already reduced visibility to 2,500 metres.

In its daily weather forecast, the NCM said that the weather will be partly cloudy and dusty in general, with a chance of isolated showers over the eastern area.
Maximum temperatures will reach 36-43C in coastal areas, 40-44C in internal areas and 31-37C in the mountains, while the UAE’s lows will range from 22-31C at night.

The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas, with a maximum of 55-85 per cent in coastal areas and 30-55 per cent in the mountain region.
The NCM also warned residents to be careful if out at sea, as the waves will be rough over the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

The weather on Friday will continue to slightly decline with light winds, before the temperature rises once again on Saturday morning.
