Emaar and Aldar to ‘unite efforts’

Mohammad Bin Zayed tweet says the two master-developers will work together on plans and programmes

Dubai: Abu Dhabi’s Aldar Properties and Dubai’s Emaar to “unite efforts” signaling a far-reaching partnership between the UAE’s top two master-developers.

In a tweet, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said the two companies will unite efforts, energies, co-operation and work together in creative plans and programmes that enhance the leadership of our companies and the competitiveness of our institutions at the global level”.

Further details of what this alliance will entail are awaited. Both Emaar and Aldar have had fairly strong operational performances during 2017, and their offplan launches continue to generate sustained demand from investors.

As with Emaar and its ownership of The Dubai Mall, Aldar owns and operates Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi’s largest retail destination. Plus, it has created residential and lifestyle options at yas Island, already one of Abu Dhabi’s must-visit destinations.
