DUBAI, 12th August, 2022 (WAM) — The Youth Council of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has joined the world in celebrating International Youth Day by organising a series of events and activities, including a dialogue session entitled “Solidarity of Generations”, in addition to other interactive workshops and recreational activities.
Attended by a number of young employees, the dialogue session shed light on the International Youth Day’s theme “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages”, which highlights the importance of youth efforts and their vital role in achieving sustainable development goals in their societies. The session also discussed the role of intergenerational activities in strengthening social cohesion and solidarity among generations.
Dr. Rashed Esmaeil Al Hashmi, Chairman of MoHAP Youth Council, stressed that the council has become a promising platform that will drive MoHAP’s journey towards new heights of innovation, excellence and health achievements.
“The UAE leadership has always believed in young people and their potential to significantly contribute to the nation’s sustainable growth and ongoing efforts to safeguard the public’s health,” Al Hashmi said.
He emphasised that the council is committed to launching constructive initiatives that would pave the way for making unique health achievements and realising the ministry’s strategy.
“In addition to aligning the youths’ ideas with the council’s vision, it supports the ministry’s senior management with practical recommendations and solutions to challenges facing young staff at the workplace to develop a forward-looking strategy for MoHAP youth in line with the UAE’s future approaches,” Al Hashmi added.
