Emirates News Agency – UAE Ambassador meets President of Chad

N’DJAMENA, 5th December, 2022 (WAM) — Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Chad, met with Lt. Gen. Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, Transitional Military Council Leader and President of Chad, at the presidential palace in the capital, N’Djamena, as part of the celebration of the 51st anniversary of the establishment of UAE-African relations.

During the meeting, Al Shamsi conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as their wishes to Déby and the people of Chad for further development and prosperity.

In turn, Déby conveyed his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and expressed his wishes for the people of the UAE to achieve further growth and prosperity.

Lt. Gen. Déby delivered a written message addressed to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, in which he congratulated His Highness on the occasion of the 51st UAE National Day.

During the meeting, they reviewed areas of cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of Chad and discussed ways to develop ties to achieve the interests and aspirations of the two countries and peoples.
