DUBAI, 15th April, 2018 (WAM) — Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, Empower, today organised a blood donation drive for Dubai Blood Donation Centre at Empower’s head office. The event is organised as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, activities and underpins the ‘Year of Zayed’ initiatives.
The initiative contributes to achieving the World Health Organisation goals and the UAE Vision 2021, to build a coherent and vibrant Emirati society, and the Dubai Plan 2021, to build an inclusive and cohesive society, that embraces common civic values.
“Empower’s role is not limited to offering district cooling services. It is our responsibility to provide a healthy and safe life for community members, contribute to supporting CSR initiatives, respond to the call of duty, and assist those in need of blood and contribute to their recovery. The public awareness campaign recognises the importance of blood donation, to allow people to enjoy a healthy life,” said Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.
