ERC provides food assistance to 1,500 individuals in Hadramaut, Yemen

HADHRAMAUT, 22nd September, 2018 (WAM) — UAE aid workers, on Saturday, distributed 300 food baskets to 1,500 underprivileged persons in Al Maqaed area of Ash Shihr District in Hadramaut, as part of the UAE’s continuing humanitarian and relief initiatives to improve living conditions of the Yemeni people.

Mohammed Al Shamsi, ERC Representative in Hadramaut, said that the latest food assistance is part of an ongoing relief and humanitarian campaign by the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, to meet basic needs of underprivileged families as part of the efforts to build their resilience to face economic hardships, especially in the services sector.
