Fujairah CP visits Zero Nine Exhibition

FUJAIRAH, 13th April, 2018 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, today visited the 5th Zero Nine Exhibition, a charity platform that aims to help Emirati and resident businesswomen in both Fujairah and the UAE launch their businesses in a friendly and productive environment that encourages the exchange of knowledge between participants.

Held annually under the guidance and patronage of Sheikha Shamseh bint Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the proceeds of this year’s event will go to Takatof, a social volunteering programme that supports the underprivileged and carries out charitable projects.

Sheikh Mohammed commended the exhibition for providing an opportunity for women to demonstrate their skills and creativity.

He also lauded the role of Emirati women and their creative initiatives, and for playing a vital role in advancing the local community.

A total of 90 exhibitors from the UAE and Arab countries are showcasing their products, which range from homemade confectionery and pastries to fashion and accessories, as well as interior design, jewellery and digital start-ups.

Inspirational talks by pioneering businesswomen are held on the sidelines of the exhibition to encourage new businesswomen to continue their journey with greater determination and understanding of what it takes to be successful. Zero Nine is a celebration and recognition of the true strength of women, and reflects what they can can achieve when they are given the opportunity.

He was accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Sports and Culture Club, Sheikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Free Zone Authority, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi.
