Fujairah Ruler arrives in Tunisia for Arab summit

TUNIS, 30th March, 2019 (WAM) – The UAE, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen on maintaining strong fraternal ties with Tunisia in all fields, said H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.

Sheikh Hamad made these remarks upon his arrival in Tunis to lead the UAE’s delegation to the Arab Summit, which will open on Sunday. He was received at the Tunis–Carthage Airport by Tunisian President, Beji Caid Essebsi, a number of senior Tunisian officials and members of the UAE embassy in Tunis.

Sheikh Hamad stressed the need to utilise the investment and economic and cultural opportunities in both the UAE and Tunisia and to work towards building effective partnerships among the private sector in the two countries.

He added that the UAE’s foreign policy is characterised by wisdom and moderation, and is founded on solid principles of commitment to international conventions and building bridges of friendship and cooperation with all countries.

Sheikh Hamad is being accompanied by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Faris Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Advisor at the Ministry of the Presidential Affairs, Saeed Mohamed Al Ragabani, Advisor to H.H. the Ruler of Fujairah, Saeed Mohamed Al Danahani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Court, Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Juma Mubaral Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Rashid Mohamed Al Mansouri, UAE Ambassador to Tunisia.
