Khalifa Foundation distributes 60 tonnes of dates in Somalia

PUNTLAND, Somalia, 17th March, 2019 (WAM) — The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has distributed 60 tonnes of dates to needy families in the city of Bosaso, northeastern state of Puntland, Somalia.

An orphanage and a refugee house along with thousands of people benefited from the gesture.

The beneficiaries praised the UAE’s assistance and thanked the UAE government, its people, and the Khalifa Foundation for their efforts to alleviate the burden of underprivileged families.

The distribution of dates is one of the humanitarian programmes that the Khalifa Foundation implements annually, in addition to its programme to distribute dates during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
