Manager – Facilities Maintenance – Agility – Kuwait

The Facility Maintenance Manager oversees Agility Logistics Parks’ (ALP) team of technicians in Kuwait or elsewhere in the Gulf. Responsibilities include carrying out the daily corrective and preventive maintenance tasks; directing the maintenance staff in managing the up-keeping of facilities, equipment suppliers and subcontractors, utilizing the latest Facilities Maintenance (FM) software. The role is also responsible for converting the operations into and managing it as a profit center.
Manage preventive and corrective services for chillers/refrigeration/freezers/HVAC; electrical work including panels and lighting; firefighting networks; civil works; plumbing, water, and waste water
Oversee general upkeep and maintenance of buildings to ensure that they meet health and safety standards and legal requirements
Control costing of each specific FM function; determine cost for repairs or renovations and manage required work
Perform analysis and forecasts for budgeting
Create cost benchmarks for specific services that could be implemented in external (out of Kuwait) maintenance operations
Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
Create KPIs to gauge operations in terms of response time, efficiency, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction
Create and manage a system for material procurement, storage, and dispatch based on bar code scanning and software
Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors who work on ALP owned property
Supervise all facilities staff and external contractors
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management
Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, preferred
Relevant professional certification, an advantage
Minimum 10 years’ experience in facility maintenance with at least 7 years’ proven experience as facilities manager or similar position
Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
Knowledgeable in FM software
Knowledge and ability to control cost, labor, material, equipment, overtime, etc.
