BEIRUT, 23rd August, 2018 (WAM) — The Humanitarian and Development Affairs Attache at the UAE Embassy in Beirut has overseen a campaign, entitled, the “Emirati Project to Distribute Sacrifices and Eid Clothes – 1439” to distribute sacrificial meat provided by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, MBRHC, to 6,080 displaced Lebanese and Syrian families, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
The campaign is part of the establishment’s efforts to assist thousands of poor and marginalised families in Lebanese villages and regions, in cooperation with the Zakat Fund in Beirut, Mount Lebanon and Beqaa.
The establishment also offered Eid gifts to around 4,000 children in Beirut, which made them happy during Eid al-Adha.
The Humanitarian and Development Affairs Attache at the UAE Embassy launched the campaign before the beginning of Eid al-Adha and continued until the third day, to assist eligible beneficiaries, in cooperation with Emirati donor organisations that are participating in the campaign, to support needy families, in line with their humanitarian role.
