Merchandising Manager – Robert Walters – United Arab Emirates

We are currently looking for a Merchandising Manager for a Leading Multinational FMCG Retailer based in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the products range depending on customer needs and inventory level (qualitative & quantitative, commercial concepts)
  • Manage the national and international purchases based on market needs (profitability, differentiation)
  • Monitor the company performance and compare it with competitors and international markets
  • Monitor the sales for various products to provide recommendation regarding efficiency and retail space
  • Recommend improvements based on analysing competition and creating a benchmark
  • Remain up to date with the latest market opportunities and share it with the related team (retail development, new innovations)
  • Manage the pricing structure for various products according to the company strategy
  • Recommend plans that increase profitability and productivity
  • Recommend the annual department budget that aligns with the approved budget
  • Execute the development of the country’s strategic plan
  • Ensure the retail offers are innovative and align with company policy
  • Assist with creating the stores merchandise plan and the best buying conditions.
  • Key Requirements:

  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Retail Management, Merchandising, Business or similar field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Merchandising within a Retail/ FMCG industry
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge regarding customer needs
  • Candidate must speak/ write/ read English fluently
