MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show kicks-off Tuesday

SHARJAH, 31st March, 2018 (WAM) — Expo Centre Sharjah has announced that it will host 500 local and international brands and companies at the 44th edition of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show. The biannual Show will launch on Tuesday, with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Show, which will be held from 3rd to 7th April, will feature a wide range of exhibitors and brands from 25 different countries that specialise in the design and manufacture of watches and jewellery. Exhibitors will be coming in from the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, the United States, Latvia, Lithuania, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Jordan, Bahrain, Turkey, Taiwan, Yemen and the UAE.

The Indian pavilion will be the largest at this year’s Show and will include 60 companies that will showcase their latest modern and traditional jewellery designs. The Hong Kong pavilion is the second largest in terms of number of exhibitors and will include 58 companies and brands that will participate in this year’s event. Other prominent pavilions in the exhibition are the Italian, Malaysian, Singaporean, Lebanese and Thai pavilions.

Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said, “The Mideast Watch and Jewellery Show is one of the most important events in the watches and jewellery industry at the local and regional level. The Show helps to strengthen the UAE’s position as the fifth country in the world in terms of Jewellery purchases, and first place in the world in terms of the rate of jewellery purchases per person.”
