DUBAI, 30th May, 2018 (WAM) – More than 100 school students from Dubai participated in a first brainstorming session of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Council.
During the session, the students provided their ideas and proposals for Dubai, and were encouraged to participate in preserving their city and meeting their social responsibilities.
Eng. Mohammed bin Aboud Al Falasi, Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Council Initiative, said, “The council reflects the vision of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that aims to motivate everyone to present their ideas and participate in creating a better future for Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed has laid the foundations of brainstorming with his wisdom and vision while supporting the concept of ‘real participation,’ which is the theme of the council and its link between ideas, participants, and government institutions and organisations in Dubai.”
Al Falasi added that the council held a workshop for school students in the science research school in Al Warqaa, to train them on how to brainstorm and reinforce their social responsibility while highlighting the general importance of the council and its role in the nation’s culture.
The council was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on 24th October, 2015, as the largest integrated smart platform in Dubai that now involves 41 government department, with the aim of receiving public suggestions, feedback and ideas around the clock and holding brainstorming smart sessions, which are directly monitored by him.
