Power failure in parts of Al Nahda Sharjah area

Technical glitch disrupted power supply, a senior official at Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa)

UPDATE:


■ As of 4.20pm, Wednesday, (November 7), power still disconnected in a number of buildings in Al Nahda, Sharjah.

■ A Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) official said they expect to restore power in the next 90 minutes. 

■ The official told Gulf News the main power cable supplied electricity to some buildings was damaged.

■ The cable, damaged by a heavy vehicle, will be replaced with a new one, the official added.

Sharjah: Residents experienced disruption in power supply to homes and businesses in some parts on Al Nahda on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

A technical glitch disrupted power supply, a senior official at Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) told Gulf News on Wednesday.

The electricity supply went off at 1pm and SEWA staff are working to fix the problem, an official told Gulf News
