Abu Dhabi/Dubai: Heavy rain has been reported late on Sunday afternoon in Fujairah, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
The orange alert has been raised in the UAE’s north-east, including Kalba, Sharjah, where moderate rain was also reported from 3.36pm on Sunday.
Orange means “be prepared” as hazardous weather events are forecast.

The UAE weather bureau reported cloud formation in the north-eastern region. The centre posted the alert on their social media channels.
“Towering clouds formation, associated with rainfall and fresh winds causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility less than 2,000 metres at time.”
On Saturday, residents reported hail storm and heavy rains in Ras Al Khaimah and nearby areas.
