Refurbishment on Aden’s Al Jumhuriyah’s orthopaedic clinic begins

ADEN, 4th April, 2019 (WAM) — Refurbishment works on Aden’s Al Jumhuriyah Hospital’s orthopaedic clinic has commenced, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, announced.

Commenting on the announcement, Yemen’s Minister of Health, Dr. Nasser Baoum, said that following the completion of refurbishment works, the clinic will be able to provide necessary medical care to individuals, especially the war-wounded, in Aden and surrounding Yemeni governorates.

Al Jumhuriyah Hospital was looted and destroyed by Houthi militias but was reopened in 2015 following UAE efforts to restore the hospital’s basic infrastructure and provision of medical equipment and supplies.
