Sales Manager – Kuwait

POSITION SUMMARY


The Sales Manager is responsible for sales & marketing, product promotion, product launch & business development for all pharmaceutical brands and also for delivering on retailing and prescription targets in the region for the Medical business. The Sales manager will be in work management with the Commercial Director to deliver on the retailing and prescription targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Further the development, sales, and promotion of Medical product throughout all divisional business channels
  • Build and maintain relationships with the distributor sales-force, management, operational staff to maximize brand potential
  • Educate and train sales center work-force about brands through “work-withs” and training in order to develop relationships and maximize brand opportunities in the trade
  • Ensure proper execution of all chain promotional activities at store level – including, but not limited to: communication with chain management (vertical call), securing & building displays, maintaining proper levels of inventory, Plano gram execution, and point of sale distribution
  • Execute point of sales, and secondary placement opportunities using tools provided by the sectional Manager to maximize brand potential and eliminate out of stock situations
  • Communicate all information regarding sales center work-force to CD and sales supervisor in their day-to-day duties
  • Manage and train a team of summer sales interns
  • Support local key account manager to increase distribution in pharmaceutical line services and on-premise accounts
  • Communicate successes, competition trends, deals, product introductions and opportunities via daily/weekly sales recaps to Commercial Director and sales supervisor
  • Work with marketing team to ensure proper execution of all promotional marketing programs and to maximize opportunities
  •  Achieving the yearly sales target
  • Achieving the yearly sales objective and KPI as per yearly business plan
  • Ensure point of sales availability at local sales centers and/or pharmaceutical regions
  • Check inventory levels at the distributor and communicate potential problems to CD
  • Assist in reviewing the sales regional Medical and/or business development and promotions with sectional manager
  • Motivation and building a background of high performance in designated team through performance review processes and in market reviews
  • Establishing and developing innovative discount/rebate models to initiate and support special campaign strategies
  • Assist in business development scope regarding search, analyze, licensing, product acquisition and managing partnerships with licencors or third parties
  • Act as a role model to inspire team towards company vision
  • Participates in departmental and/or division’s committee meetings as required
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
