Sharjah Ruler delivers lecture on ‘Roots of the Arab Language Literature’

SHARJAH, 30th May, 2018 (WAM) — H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, stated that culture is not temporary and is not imported, but is derived from people, and in turn, it gives them their enablers.

He made this statement during his lecture yesterday to a group of journalists from around the country, titled, “The Roots of the Arab Language Literature,” which was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council;Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the National Media Council, NMC; Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture; Ali Ibrahim Al Marri, and other officials.

Sheikh Sultan announced that his new book, which is about to be published, will contain his recent lectures on the history, language, heritage and literature of the Arab region, as well as the history of ancient cities and the history of Islam.
