Sharjah Ruler receives Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour

SHARJAH, 26th September, 2018 (WAM) — H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received on Wednesday in the presence of Sheikha Hoor Al Qasimi, President of the Africa Institute, Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour and members of his band.

At the opening of the meeting, His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, welcomed N’Dour and his accompanying delegation, praising the fine art they presented at the opening ceremony of the newly built Africa Hall.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed and the guests exchanged friendly talks on various aspects of Sharjah-Africa relations, and reviewing the objectives and roles that the emirate seeks to achieve through its establishment of the Africa Institute.

On their part, the singer and members of the Senegalese band presented their thanks and appreciation to His Highness for his warm reception.

At the end of the meeting, His Highness invited them to visit Al Qasimia University and to meet the students of the Senegalese community.
