Sr. Specialist – Contract Administration (Africa) – Agility – Kuwait

ALP is in search of a contract management specialist who will be a valuable addition to the team by contributing knowledge and expertise in contract management.

The Role in Brief

The Senior Specialist for Contract Administration is responsible for overseeing the quality of deliverables which include proposals, contracts, drawings, cost estimates, reports and various other tender documentation – ensuring deliverables are aligned with stakeholder expectations. Additionally, the role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and safety assurance of all construction projects executed in Africa by the Construction and Facility Management team while being based in Kuwait.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage contract negotiations at tendering stage and ensure the satisfactory compilation of contract data
  • Negotiate and administrate subcontracts/sub consultancy and service suppliers
  • Review new contracts during tendering stage, prepare and present contract review report containing a summary for all contractual/commercial data with relevant significance (i.e. major schedule constraints, milestones, terms of payment, major liabilities and obligation, etc.)
  • Review and evaluate submitted bids and prepare tender evaluation report along with recommendations to the client
  • Prepare/Review/Comment/Audit various claims (cost of disruption, time extension, etc.) and coordinate with the relevant project stakeholders (cost contractor, client, sub-consultants, or Project Manager)
  • Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Contract Management, Business Administration or Civil Engineering
  • Higher studies/certifications an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Knowledge of contractual agreement and legal language, and FIDIC standards and regulations
  • Your Proficiencies

  • AutoCAD, Primavera
  • MS Office (specifically Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to accurately draft complex commercial agreements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, preferred
  • Strong organization and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced environment
