Suhail Al Mazrouei invites Vietnamese President to attend World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi

HANOI, 1st April, 2019 (WAM) — Nguyen Phu Trong, President of Vietnam and Secretary-General of the Ruling Party, received Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry, in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi.

Al Mazrouei conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, as well as their wishes for greater advancement and prosperity to the leadership and people of Vietnam.

During the meeting, Al Mazrouei delivered a letter from His Highness Sheikh Khalifa inviting President Nguyen to visit the UAE and attend the 24th World Energy Congress, which will be held in September in Abu Dhabi.

Al Mazrouei also informed Nguyen about the results of his discussions with the Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade and their desire to strengthen the economic cooperation between their countries, especially in the area of energy.

Nguyen praised the efforts of the two countries and hoped that their friendship and economic, trade, and investment cooperation will further advance while pointing out that Al Mazrouei’s visit reflects their mutual desire to improve their relations and cooperation, especially in energy and industry.

Nguyen also congratulated the UAE for its social and economic accomplishments while asserting that his country has prioritised its friendship and cooperation with the UAE, which is one of its major partners in the Middle East in the areas of trade, investment and employment.

He also expressed his happiness at their strong bilateral relations while adding that both countries can invest further in renewable energy, oil, gas and infrastructure, and must support their business plans and implement investment projects.

Both countries must exchange information, establish business communication channels, and encourage their businessmen to participate in commercial exhibitions, business forums and seminars, he further added.

The meeting was attended by Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Vietnam.
