UAE Ambassador praises Kairouan House of Poetry

KAIROUAN, Tunisia, 11th March, 2018 (WAM) — Salem Issa Qtam Al-Za’abi, UAE Ambassador to Tunisia, has said that the Kairouan House of Poetry promotes Arab culture and arts, adding that the cultural hub reaffirms the strong ties between the two countries.

The Ambassador’s remarks came during his visit to the House of Poetry, where he was received by Director and Tunisian poet, Jamila Al-Magri.

During the tour, Al-Magri presented the House of Poetry’s latest activities and various literary and art programmes.

Al-Za’abi expressed his admiration for the cultural hub, adding that its exquisite architecture is in harmony with the Kairouan Governorate’s urban landscape. He went on to praise the important role the House of Poetry plays in promoting culture via Arab poetry and literary works.
