UAE Embassy gives away free apartment for Ramadan

Dubai: A family’s prayers were answered with the gift of one brand new apartment.

The flat was provided to the Egyptian family under the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

“In celebration of the Year of Zayed, Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, the UAE Ambassador in Cairo and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the League of Arab States, granted an apartment to improve the living condition of two children,” said the UAE Embassy on its official twitter account.

The gift was offered after the children’s plight was highlighted in the Cairo-based newspaper Al Youm Al Saabeh on May 28.

According to the report, the two children lived with their family in the social housing project in the October Gardens district – 6 October City.

The 6th of October City is a city in Giza, and is part of the urban area of Cairo, Egypt, around 32 km outside the city.
