WELLINGTON, 2nd May, 2018 (WAM) — The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has met with the New Zealand Minister for Education, Chris Hipkins.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries.
Sheikh Abdullah stressed the UAE’s keenness to enhance cooperation in the education sector with New Zealand, especially as there are a large number of UAE citizens undertaking studies in the country.
The Minister of Education welcomed Sheikh Abdullah’s visit, noting the strong ties between the two countries as a result of the two countries’ leadership and their visions. He also praised the high level of education and cultural development witnessed by the UAE.
Saleh Ahmed Alzreem Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to New Zealand, also attended the meeting.
