UAE, Kuwait discuss labour cooperation

CAIRO, 10th April, 2018 (WAM) — Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, met with Hind Sabeeh Barak Al Sabeeh, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, on the sidelines of the 45th session of the Arab Labour Conference.

Al Hamli and Al Sabeeh highlighted the strong historic ties between the two countries, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.

Al Hamli and Al Sabeeh also reviewed their labour cooperation and ways of developing it through exchanging knowledge and experience, to promote their best interests and common work as part of the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC.

Both parties highlighted their desire to continue supporting the “Abu Dhabi Dialogue,” which has become an important consultative process among countries that send and receive temporary contractual employment, which will also help to enhance their bilateral and regional co-operation and partnerships, with the aim of developing and activating the management of temporary contracts and maximising the benefits of labour mobility among these countries.
