UAE participates in Arab Interior Ministers Council meetings in Algeria

ABU DHABI, 7th March, 2018 (WAM) — H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, is leading the UAE delegation to the two-day 35th session of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council which commenced in Algiers today to address an array of issues on reinforcing security coordination between Arab countries.

The current session is attended by high-profile security delegations and representatives of the Arab League, Arab Maghreb Union, Interpol, UN Office of Counter-Terrorism, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and Arab Police Sports Federation.

The session is discussing a number of topics, including a draft of a ninth Arab security plan, a draft of a seventh Arab media plan for security awareness and crime prevention, a draft of a sixth phased plan for Arab traffic safety strategy and a draft phased plan for the implementation of Arab intellectual security strategy.

The UAE delegation to the meeting includes a number of senior officials at the Minsitry of Interior along with Yusuf Saif Saba’ Al Ali, the UAE Ambassador to Algeria.
