UAE to get rain next week?

Dubai: The weather in the UAE is expected to be slightly unstable next week as several areas across the country will be hit with light showers.

Light, sporadic rain is expected to affect the eastern and western regions, which includes Al Dhafra, Hatta, Fujairah and Khor Fakkan.

Over the next few days, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that the UAE will see hazy and cloudy weather as the temperature gradually rises during the next two days.

“Moderate winds will blow in general, freshening at times over the sea. The relative humidity will increase by night and early morning over some coastal areas,” said the NCM.

The temperature across the UAE on Wednesday and Thursday will slightly increase, according to weather forecasters, with temperatures ranging from 20C-35C in coastal areas, 18-37C in internal areas and 16C-27C in the mountain region.

Seas will also be rough over the next two days in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, with waves reaching between three and six feet high.

By Thursday, southwesterly-northwesterly winds will pick up over the mountain areas at a speed of 20-30km/h, which may peak at times to 40km/h.

On Friday, the NCM added that, “The amount of clouds will increase over some eastern, coastal areas and islands. [There will be] moderate winds in general, freshening at times, especially over the sea.”
