Umm Al Qaiwain CP raises UAE flag in Al Khour Park

UMM AL QAIWAIN, 1st November, 2018 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, has said that the country’s Flag Day celebrations promote patriotism among citizens, especially the youth, who are future leaders.

He also noted that Flag Day commemorates the memory of the first flag raising on 2nd December, 1971, by the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, with other Founding Fathers of the nation.

Sheikh Rashid today raised the national flag in Al Khor Park in Umm Al Qaiwain to mark the occasion, while praising the wise leadership for promoting the values of loyalty and love among the people.

Sheikh Rashid added that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has enhanced its international stature and has many national and international achievements through its social principles and patriotism.

He also praised the initiative launched by the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to raise the country’s flag, under the slogan, “Raise it high to remain glorious, to promote national solidarity among the entire community”.

The flag raising event was attended by a number of Sheikhs, officials, citizens and residents.
