Dubai:  Dubai Police have recovered a diamond worth $20 million (Dh73 million) from an Asian country after it was stolen from the vault of a Dubai company and smuggled out in a shoe.

The suspect, a guard working with a money transfer company, was arrested in the UAE. After stealing the diamond, he had given it to a relative who smuggled the precious stone by hiding it in a sports shoe, the police said on Wednesday.
