The parents of 8-year-old gave their son a birthday surprise by celebrating it with Dubai Police.

The birthday party of Avonso Doratso was held at the recently opened museum at Dubai Police Academy, which was celebrated with a mascot, cake and gifts as he was surrounded with friends and police officers.

“Thank you Dubai Police for celebrating my birthday. When I grow up, I want to be a policeman,” said Avonso.

The Dubai Police Band and luxury patrol cars also took part in the celebration.

Second Lt Mansour Mansouri, head of the Dubai Police Museum, explained that the child’s mother Marta initially surprise police when she requested to hold the birthday bash at the venue as a surprise gift.

“Although the request was a bit surprising we passed it directly to Major General Mohammad Ahmad Bin Fahd, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic and Training Affairs, who ordered the request of fulfilling the wishes of the mother,” he said.
