RAS AL KHAIMAH, 14th May, 2018 (WAM) — Sheikha Hana bint Jumma Al Majid, Wife of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, attended today the graduation ceremony of 426 female students of the academic year 2017, from the Higher College of Technology, HCT, Ras Al Khaimah Women’s campus.
Speaking on this occasion, Sheikha Hana said that she is very happy to attended today the graduation of the ‘Year of Zayed Batch’ and to share with the graduates this moment of joy.
“Your graduation coincides with the year of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan a man who, out of his belief that young individuals are the real wealth of nations and the pillar of our country, founded a country built on knowledge,” she continued, adding that the Founding Father also paved the way for women to be educated and obtain the highest academic qualifications and occupy the highest positions across sectors.
“President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, leave no stone unturned to secure a better future and a happy life for the coming generations and improve the country’s status worldwide,” she added.
She also thanked H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah for his unrelenting support for women in the emirate and empowering them across fields.
Speaking on behalf of Board of Trustees, Maryam Al Hafeeti, First Director of Support Services at HCT, said that this batch comprises 426 women, out of 5978 male and female graduates who completed this year their studies in different academic disciplines.
“You are the a source of pride to your country and people and you have to believe in yourselves and serve your nation with honesty and professionalism,” she concluded.
Sheikha Hana presented the certificates to the graduates at the end of the event.
