Police apprehended woman for having illicit sex and taking drugs with student following husband’s complaint
Dubai: A student has been accused of providing drugs to a woman and having sex with her after her husband reported to the police that she was cheating on him in a hotel.
The husband was said to have informed Dubai Police that his wife went with a 26-year-old Palestinian student to have sex at a hotel in Bur Dubai in September.
After obtaining prosecutors’ warrant, a police team raided the hotel room, according to records, where the wife and the student were found to be under the influence of drugs.
The couple were taken into immediate custody and escorted to the police station where they were purported to have admitted that they had sex out of wedlock in the hotel room.
Further police investigations revealed that the couple had consumed amphetamine, methamphetamine and Pregabalin and had sex three times prior to their arrest.
Prosecutors accused the Palestinian suspect of providing mind-altering substances to the housewife, having consensual sex with her and consuming drugs.
The housewife was also accused of allowing the student to have sex with her and consuming drugs.
When the Palestinian suspect showed up before the Dubai Court of First Instance on Thursday, he pleaded guilty to the charge of consuming amphetamine, methamphetamine and Pregabalin.
However, he denied having sex with the housewife or providing her with banned substances.
“Nothing happened between you two at all?” presiding judge Urfan Omar asked the suspect.
“Nothing at all. We didn’t have sex and I didn’t provide her with anything,” the 26-year-old responded.
A police lieutenant claimed to prosecutors that police raided the hotel room shortly after the husband had reported to them that his wife was cheating on him.
“The husband came to us and complained that his wife went to have sex at a hotel with the Palestinian suspect. We raided the hotel room and arrested the couple. Upon questioning, the woman said she had sex three times with the other suspect, who also confirmed her claims. She also claimed that she consumed mind-altering substances that she took from the Palestinian. The 26-year-old alleged that his brother had taken the drugs from a Pakistani person … he also claimed that he had been providing the housewife with drugs since July 2017,” the lieutenant testified to prosecutors.
The trial continues.
The woman also is being tried before the Dubai Misdemeanours Court.
