ABU DHABI, 8th April, 2018 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute, ADVETI, has helped to integrate a group of people of determination as part of the 264 participants of the 13th edition of the national program, entitled, “YEStoWork Program.”
The program was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, between 25th March and 5th April, 2018, in 64 selected stores in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director-General of ADVETI, said that integrating people of determination in the program is part of the centre’s advanced strategy, which aims to implement the directives of the wise leadership to empower all the country’s citizens, most notably people of determination, who are a key resource and positive influence on the UAE community and its future, to work in vital professions.
He added that the program helps to train Emiratis in the skills required to work in these professions.
Al Shamsi, who was briefed about the participation of people of determination in the program, praised the efforts of the wise leadership and H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of the Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs, ZHO, to enable the organisation to provide the best care and services to people of determination.
He added that ADVETI is keen to co-operate with the ZHO to achieve the interests of the country and its citizens, while expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the centre’s strategic partners to train Emiratis to work in large private institutions.
ACTVET promotes the YEStoWork Program to reinforce Emirati youth employability in the private sector and create opportunities for lifelong learning with the support of its strategic partners from the private sector. YEStoWork Program targets passionate Emiratis who are eager to learn and develop their intrapersonal skills and contribute to success of achieving our Leaders’ vision. YEStoWork Program provides participating students with a unique and rewarding opportunity to experience a real work environment and acquire specific knowledge by attending a course in retail services and operations.
Ali Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Chairman of Emirates Skills at ADVETI, said that the program’s current edition witnessed increased demand from youths aged 15 to 21 years.
